To Lead in the practice of Early Childhood Education through play, collaboration and reflection: in our classrooms with children, partnerships with families, and professional development with staff and the Board.
Lamplighter will:

Land Acknowledgment
Lamplighter Preschool is situated on the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe.
We acknowledge their enduring presence on this land, as well as the presence of Mètis, Inuit and other First Nations from across Turtle Island.
We honour their culture and celebrate their commitment to this land.
Our Accessibility
Lamplighter Preschool welcomes all children, without discrimination, and strives to meet the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of each child, regardless of race and culture, developmental or behavioural needs. We are committed to working with families, and any resource teachers and support workers, to help determine individual goals for each child and implement them into our program.
As we strive to identify, remove and prevent barries so people with disabilities can access facilities and services, Lamplighter has the ability to service children and adults with disabilities in our one level, wheel chair accessible centre. For children with disabilities, our yard does have different levels and surfaces. We have DURALAWN matting in areas of our yards which provide extra grip along with keeping grass in place.
Lamplighter can provide; large print material upon request and room rearrangement for ease of mobility and accommodation for both children and adults. We will treat everyone with respect and dignity and we also welcome Service Animals.
Our Philosophy
Our Vision Statement, Mission Statement, and Inclusion and Accessibility Statement provide the basis for the overall philosophy that directs the operation of Lamplighter Preschool. Each child’s individuality and sense of security are important to us. Ties between the staff and children become warm and trusting.
